BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. V. G. Wilkinson was born in 1897 and is a Co-operative Insuiance Society agent. A member of Guildford Borough Council for 20 years, he is a former Mayor and since 1934 has been a member of Surrey County Council. Before entering the insurance business he was in the engineering trade, and at 25 was appointed district secretary of the Amalgamated Engineering Union. He has been a member of the Labour Party since 1918.
