BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. W. Leonard represented the St. Rollox division from 1931 to the dissolution. Born in 1887 and a cabinetmaker by trade, he is a member of the Scottish Advisory Committee of the Labour Party and a former president of the Scottish Trade Union Congress. For several years he was Parliamentary private secretary to Sir Andrew Duncan, and later Joint Parliamentary secretary to the Ministry of Supply and Aircraft Production.
