BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. Ian MacLeod is head of the Home Affairs Department of the Conservative Central Office. An honours B.A. of Cambridge, he was reading for the Bar when the war broke out, and he volunteered as a private. He was commissioned in May, 1940, and was wounded in the Battle °f France. Later he was promoted major, and joined Field-Marshal Planning staff for the Normandy campaigh. He was appointed D.A.Q.M.G. to the 50th Division, and landed with them on D Day.
