BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. J. D. Richard was born in 1917, and educated at Roborough School, Eastbourne, in which town he lives and of which his father was mayor. He is director and general manager of a circuit of Sussex cinemas. Commissioned in the Territorial Army in 1937, he served throughout the last war, and was in Burma as a major in the Indian Army.
