BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. Christopher Hollis became member for Devizes in 1945. Born in 1902 and educated at Eton and Balliol, he toured America, New Zealand, and Australia in 1924-25 as a member of the Oxford Union Debating Society. He was an assistant master at Stonyhurst College. A director of a publishing firm and a member of the editorial board of The Tablet, he has been a prolific writer of political works and novels. He served in Greece as a squadron leader in the R.A.F.
