Mr. R. E. Prentice, a 26-year-old student of economics and political science, was in the Royal Artillery during the war with the rank ot captain, and served in North Africa and jtaly. Afterwards he resumed his studies at London University. He was married in 1948. «e is a member of Croydon Borough Council.
