BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. L. F. Heald, K.C., born in 1897, was educated at Charterhouse and Christ Church, Oxford, and served in the first world war. He was called to the Bar in 1923 and specialized in technical cases and in the law of compulsory purchase. In the last war he joined the R.A.F.V.R. and was appointed to the Air Staff in 1940. He became air commodore in 1944 on appointment to General Eisenhower’s staff at Supreme Headquarters.
