BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. W. T. Aitken, a nephew of Lord Beaverbrook, was born in Canada in 1905, and is general manager of an Empire news service and a director of other companies. A fighter pilot during the war, he crashed and spent two years in hospital with 19 major operations. He fought West Derbyshire in 1945, losing by 156 votes.
