BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. D. P. Chesworth polled more than 19,000 votes against Mr. Anthony Eden in the Warwick and Leamington division in 1945. He served as a fireman during the Birmingham blitz, and was active in forming the Fire Brigades Union. At the age of 26 he is a governor of five secondary schools and a remand home in the London area, and has paid 35 visits to Europe since 1945.
