BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. F. A. Cobb won Elland for Labour in 1945. Born in 1901, he served in the Merchant Navy during the 1914-18 war. He is a radio engineer and general manager of a firm producing wireless equipment. An associate of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, he is also a member of the American Institute of Radio Engineers.
