BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. H. J. Finch, who is 51, is compensation secretary of the South Wales area of the National Union of Mine-workers, in whose interests he has worked for 30 years. He was a member of the 1943 advisory committee on rehabilitation (pneumo-coniosis) of coal miners in South Wales. Regarded as an expert on miners’ occupational diseases, he is a co-opted member of the social insurance committee of the T.U.C.
