BIOGRAPHY :

Mrs. C. S. Ganley has for many years been active in public life as a school manager and governor, and as a member of Battersea Council and the London County Council. She was also a director of London Co-operative Society for 28 years, and four times president. She was born in 1879, and had an elementary school education. She was first returned as M.P. for Battersea South in 1945, when her majority was 7,225.
