The UK Strategy for Agricultural Technologies contains a number of actions for Industry, Government and the science base.
Action No 1 commits the Leadership Council, working alongside others, to conduct a comprehensive mapping and evaluation of private and Government funding available for research, translation and innovation.
Work to deliver this action started at the end of March this year, led by the Agri-Tech Leadership Council. We expect the findings to be presented by the end of 2014.

The Government expects retailers covered by the charge to deduct reasonable costs from the revenue raised and use the remaining part for good causes. VAT will be included in the 5p charge.

This technical demonstrator programme was aimed at evaluating the compatibility of the collision warning system concept in the fast jet environment. Technical demonstrator programmes are used to test the technical feasibility of new technology projects, often using experimental or conceptual technologies. They are not expected to produce equipment capable of being brought into service with the Armed Forces.

The Department does not hold information relating to the recovery of payments from National Health Service staff made redundant and subsequently re-employed by an NHS organisation.
This information will be held locally by NHS organisations.
The NHS is set to save £5.5 billion this Parliament and £1.5 billion each year thereafter, reducing unnecessary bureaucracy and freeing up extra resources for patient care.

In respect of Professor Munro’s recommendation on introducing a duty to secure provision of early help services, the Government has concluded there is sufficient legislation in place to deliver early help services to children and families. The Department for Education will continue to work with sector partners to reinforce existing legislation and understand how early help offers in local areas can be improved.

Her Majesty’s Passport Office (HMPO) does not collect performance data at this
level. HMPO monitors performance at national level as it distributes work across the
UK estate to manage any variation in local levels of passport demand.
The cost of identifying information in the format requested would be disproprtionate.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, from which other Departments temporary additional staff at the Passport Office have been deployed; and what training costs have arisen from such redeployment.

To date, all but one of the additional staff have been redeployed from within HM
Passport Office and the wider Home Office.
Discussions are continuing with other Government Departments about whether
deployment of any more of their staff would be necessary.
The training that has arisen from this deployment has been delivered using
internal resources and this has not incurred any additional costs other than
the time of those involved and certain travel and subsistence costs.
