He was Canadian representative on the European Committee of Unrra, and is joint hon. treasurer of the Liberal International.

    Mr. W. Hughes was born in 1911, and is a building contractor. For many years he has been a member of Dundee City Council, and was the unsuccessful Labour candidate in Perth and Kinross in 1945. Recently he was appointed chairman of the Regional Hospitals Board. When war broke out he was appointed A.R.P. controller for his native Dundee, and was awarded the O.B.E. for his services. He subsequently went into the Army and rose to the rank of captain.

    Mr. W. McE. Younger was born in 1905, and is a managing director. He was in the Territorial Army and served throughout the last war. He was in the siege of Tobruk, and won the D.S.O., and with the Eighth Army during the advance from El Alamein to Tunis ; he also commanded the 14th L.A.A. Regiment in the Salerno landings. In 1948 he was elected president of the West Lothian Junior Unionist Association.
