He was assistant British prosecutor at Nuremberg war trials and at the Hamburg trial of Marshal von Manstein. He has been M.P. for Plaistow since 1945.

    Sir Ralph Glyn has sat continuously for Abingdon since 1924. During the National Government of 1931 he was joint Parliamentary private secretary to Mr. Ramsay Mac-Donald. He was created a baronet in 1934. Born in 1886, he joined The Rifle Brigade in 1904 after being educated at Harrow and Sandhurst. He contested two by-elections in 1910, and was returned for Clackmannan and E. Stirling in 1918, serving for four years.
