Association, Manchester ; he is on the management committee of Oldham Master Cotton Spinners’ Association, and vice-chairman of Oldham Chamber of Commerce.

    Mr. P. Crowder, who was born in 1919, is a son of Capt. J. F. E. Crowder, M.P. for Finchley since 1935. He was educated at Eton and Christ Church, Oxford, and is a barrister of the Inner Temple. Joining the Coldstream Guards in 1939, he served in North Africa, Italy (where he was personal liaison officer to Gen. Leese), and Burma, attaining the rank of major. In 1945 at the North Tottenham by-election he reduced the Labour majority by nearly 10,000.
