    To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps he is taking to implement his Department’s plans on childhood obesity.

    The Department is confident our world leading plan, Childhood Obesity: A Plan for Action, will make a real difference to obesity rates in this country.

    The Government is currently consulting on the soft drinks industry levy and a broad sugar reduction programme has been launched.

    The Department will continue to work with the National Health Service, local authorities and other partners as we move into the delivery phase of the plan.

    To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many patient episodes there were within the Kettering General Hospital NHS Trust in (a) 2005, (b) 2010 and (c) 2015.

    In 2004-05, there were 71,300 admitted patient finished consultant episodes at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, compared to 82,267 in 2009-10 and 90,659 in 2014-15.

    The number of outpatient attendances has also risen, with 168,412 in 2004-05; 217,735 in 2009-10; and 274,614 in 2014-15.

    In 2004-05, there were 68,650 Accident & Emergency attendances, compared to 85,971 in 2009-10. This number fell in 2014-15 to 76,452 attendances.

    The British Business Bank currently facilitates around £300m of finance in Scotland. Around £10m of Start-Up Loans have been provided to over 2,000 Scottish businesses, and £290m is helping a further 2,000 businesses to grow through other Bank programmes. In 2015/16, Innovate UK committed to invest £58.3m in 291 innovation projects in Scotland.

    To ask the Attorney General, on how many occasions, and on what dates, the Crown Prosecution Service has decided to prosecute medical professionals for abortion-related offences since 1997-98.

    The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) does not hold offences data prior to 2004-2005. Between the years 2004-2005 and 2015-2016, the CPS commenced prosecutions of 71 abortion related offences. However, it is not possible to disaggregate the data to report the occupation of the defendant, whether a medical professional or otherwise. This information could only be obtained by examining each of the CPS case files, which would incur disproportionate cost.

    There is no central Cabinet Office policy to reduce the overall Civil Service headcount in the current Parliament. Workforce planning is primarily the responsibility of each department to determine based on their individual operational and policy requirements. Each department has their own spending agreements with HM Treasury for this Parliament and are responsible for ensuring they have the right workforce and capability in place to deliver their commitments.

    Earlier this year, departments published their Single Departmental Plans, setting out the key programmes of work required to deliver the Government’s Manifesto commitments. Departments have been developing plans to ensure they have the workforce required to deliver their Single Departmental Plans.

    Workforce planning is primarily the responsibility of each department to determine based on their individual operational and policy requirements. Each department has their own spending agreement with HM Treasury for this Parliament and are responsible for ensuring they have the right workforce and capability in place to deliver their commitments.

    Earlier this year, departments published their Single Departmental Plans, setting out the key programmes of work required to deliver the Government’s Manifesto commitments. Departments have been developing plans to ensure they have the workforce required to deliver their Single Departmental Plans.

    The Civil Service constantly reviews its capabilities in order to deliver the Government’s agenda. Cabinet Office is working with all departments across the Civil Service to better understand their capacity and capability requirements over this Parliament following the decision to exit the EU, but it is too early to make a detailed assessment at this stage.
